Niseko Ski in 1998

12/30/98 updated

Niseko ski area is one of my best favorites in Japan. You can enjoy long courses over 3 kilo meters, hard gaps and virgin snow. We stayed 5 days at this time, and it snowed 3 days so much that we could experience skiing like diving into the virgin snow. I am sorry I cannot show beautiful pictures because the weather was cloudy or snow.

A view from the end of 6th Kogen lift. It is great fun to enjoy virgin snow and gaps even in night skiing.

A view of Mt. Niseko Annupuri. It was very windy and cold.

A view of Mt. Yohtei, located at the other side of Mt. Niseko Annupuri. It is also cold "Ezo-Fuji" (Mt. Fuji in Hokkaido) as its shape.
